How to make a silicone brush with Silicone Mold,if you can make a silicone cooking brush by yourself, how fun it is.

#1 Put down two layers of newspaper over your work area. Put a layer of wax paper over this. Place your prototype--the object from which you will create the mold--in the middle.

# 2 Put on gloves and a respirator. Spray your prototype with mold release, being sure to get it in every crevasse. You can find spray mold release from most hobby stores. If possible, chose the same brand as your  silicone spatula set

# 3 Select the base rubber bottle from your silicone mold kit and pour some of the liquid into a mixing cup. The amount depends on the size of the object you are using as a prototype, so you will have to estimate.

# 4 Pour some of the second bottle, labeled catalyst, into a second mixing cup. The amount depends on how much of the first liquid you have. Many silicones use a 1 to 1 ratio, so you will pour equal amounts in the two cups. Other brands, however, will use less catalyst than base.

# 5 Pour the liquids of both cups into a third cup and stir them for one full minute until they are thoroughly mixed.

# 6 Dip a large paintbrush into the silicone and brush it across the surface of your prototype. Starting at the top and working your way down, completely cover your prototype. Make sure that the silicone runs into every crevasse of your prototype.

# 7 Mix up another batch of silicone and add another coating of silicone over the first. Let it harden for two hours. Repeat this process until you have five layers of silicone. Let the piece sit for 24 hours.

# 8 Peel the piece off the wax paper. Gently pry the lip of the mold away from the prototype and pop the prototype out. Rinse the inside of your mold with water to clear away any remaining mold release.

That's all the steps. by the way,If you are making a very large mold, consider adding a coat of plaster over the silicone mold to help keep it from distorting.
